First Day Cover Report Proves Point
Written by enetwal on January 1, 2009 – 2:07 pm -I have advocated for some time that off line businesses use internet marketing Give Away events to market non internet reports. Last night the New Year Giveaway opened, and already today I have had five people download a report I wrote on First Day Cover Collecting. While I have sold first day covers on line for almost twelve years, I would not normally think of internet marketers as first day cover people.
And yet, at least a few are. I suspect I will attract quite a few more in the coming week as more and more people learn about the New Year Giveaway
The past holiday period between Thanksgiving and the New Year have been full of such Give Aways. I have participated in many and have downloaded a lot of useful material and gained a lot of new subscribers to my lists.  The point I want to get across here is that you don’t need to only offer internet marketing products to these lists, as my First Day cover collecting ebook proves.

I agree Earl, it is amazing the number of different niches and they are intertwined with one another. But if we did not try them we would never know that they exist.

Yes, you are right that you dont necessarily have to have an “Internet marketing” related gift in the IM giveaways. As all IM’ers are interested in other things as well, besides their Internet marketing.
One interesting idea would be to start a giveaway in another niche. I have seen this done in the self improvement niche, but not in any other niche.
If you can somehow get a bunch of people in smaller niches together that have a web site that would like to target more customers/visitors, a giveaway for that niche might work out great. It would be a very targeted audience.

I noticed that gifts not related to Internet Marketing often do well.
My “Golf” book is doing better then my other, more standard gifts.
