Once you know that the market is there for that niche, you are better off starting in a much more tightly focused micro niche. As you said it is much easier to learn than a very broad niche and you will do much better off if you understand it and can become known as an expert in your niche. And once you have done all you can to put your earnings on autopilot and have numerous traffic funnels in place, start on a new RELATED micro-niche. To use your example, once the Ice Fishing site is complete and the processes set up, the next site might be depp-sea fishing lures.
